Titans Explode for 106 in Dominant Win Over Johnston CC
The Guilford Technical Community College men’s basketball team delivered an offensive masterclass, rolling past Johnston Community College 106–57 in a commanding performance from start to finish.
GTCC shot a blistering 63.8% from the field and an incredible 60% from three-point range, turning efficient offense and unselfish play into one of their most complete games of the season.
Mike Webster set the tone early, pouring in 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting while adding three assists. Tyren Martin followed with 16 points, six assists, four steals, and three blocks in an all-around statement performance. Jordan Weaver added 14 points and two blocks, while Mike Cade controlled the floor with a near triple-double effort—14 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists—showcasing the Titans’ balanced attack.
The depth was just as impressive. Osiris Peralta added 10 points off the bench, Marcus Robertson knocked down two threes on his way to nine points, and Nikel Rodgers connected on three from beyond the arc. In total, GTCC dished out 30 assists on 44 made field goals, a testament to their ball movement and team-first mentality.
Defensively, the Titans were just as sharp, forcing 30 turnovers while recording 11 steals and six blocks. The energy on both ends of the floor never let up.
With efficient shooting, relentless defense, and contributions across the roster, GTCC delivered a statement victory and continues to build momentum as conference play heats up.
