Titans’ Bats Erupt in 19–11 Slugfest Victory Over Robeson CC
The Guilford Technical Community College baseball team put on an offensive showcase, pounding out 15 hits and scoring 19 runs in a high-energy 19–11 win over Robeson Community College.
From the first inning on, the Titans’ lineup was relentless. Andre Mason delivered one of the most explosive performances of the season, launching two home runs and driving in eight RBIs. Mason added a double and a sacrifice fly, accounting for nearly half of GTCC’s run production in a dominant outing at the plate.
Bryce Meachem continued the offensive surge, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Will Beck added two hits and a double, while Elijah Grant sparked momentum at the top of the lineup with four runs scored and a triple. Brayden Winters chipped in with two doubles and two RBIs as the Titans kept pressure on Robeson’s pitching staff all afternoon.
GTCC worked seven walks and struck out just twice, showing patience and discipline while capitalizing on scoring opportunities. The Titans left only four runners on base, turning traffic into production consistently throughout the game.
On the mound, Carmine Lancaster provided a steady start, going five innings with six strikeouts while allowing three earned runs to keep the Titans in control early. Though Robeson responded with five home runs of their own, GTCC’s offensive firepower proved too much to overcome.
In a game filled with extra-base hits and momentum swings, the Titans’ explosive lineup and aggressive approach sealed a statement win as they continue building rhythm this season.
Game 2
Titans Unleash 24-Run Explosion in Rout of Robeson
The Guilford Technical Community College baseball team turned the scoreboard into a track meet, erupting for 24 runs in a dominant 24–7 victory over Robeson Community College.
GTCC’s offense was relentless from the first inning, drawing 13 walks and capitalizing on every opportunity. The Titans scored 24 runs on 11 hits, combining patience at the plate with timely power to overwhelm Robeson’s pitching staff.
Bryce Meachem delivered a historic performance, going 4-for-4 with three home runs and an astounding 11 RBIs. Meachem accounted for nearly half of the Titans’ run production in a jaw-dropping display of power and clutch hitting.
Elijah Grant added a home run of his own, driving in four RBIs while scoring four times and reaching base four times. Dylan Rose chipped in with a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored, while Niko Michaelides added two hits and crossed the plate three times.
Even when the bats weren’t producing hits, the Titans found ways to score. GTCC’s disciplined approach forced Robeson pitchers into tough counts all afternoon, resulting in 13 walks and consistent pressure on the bases.
On the mound, Carter Batts struck out four over 2.1 innings, while Grady Barnes and Elliot Flowers combined to close out the game. Despite 14 total walks issued by Titans pitchers, GTCC’s offense provided more than enough cushion to keep control throughout.
With explosive power, relentless plate discipline, and contributions throughout the lineup, the Titans delivered one of their most dominant offensive performances of the season and continue to build serious momentum moving forward.
Game 3
Titans Outlast Robeson in 15–13 Extra-Inning Thriller
The Guilford Technical Community College baseball team survived a back-and-forth battle, edging Robeson Community College 15–13 in an 11-inning showdown that tested both lineups and bullpens.
GTCC jumped out early behind a strong offensive start, plating eight runs in the first four innings. Elijah Grant sparked the attack with a four-hit performance, including a home run and four RBIs. Will Beck and Ashton Fernandez also went deep, helping the Titans build early momentum with three total home runs on the afternoon.
Andre Mason added two hits and two RBIs, while Dylan Rose set the tone at the top of the order with two hits, three runs scored, and aggressive base running. The Titans racked up 16 hits overall and swiped four bases, consistently applying pressure throughout the game.
On the mound, Zach Cartrette delivered a strong start, tossing five innings with eight strikeouts while allowing just two runs. After Robeson mounted a mid-game comeback, Graham Sutherland provided a crucial four-inning relief effort, shutting the door with four strikeouts and no runs allowed to secure the win.
Robeson made things interesting late, capitalizing on walks and timely hits to keep the score tight, but GTCC’s offense continued to answer. Key RBI knocks from Evan Britt and Brayden Winters helped the Titans maintain their edge in the late innings.
In a game filled with momentum swings, clutch hitting, and gritty relief pitching, the Titans showed resilience and composure, grinding out a hard-earned extra-inning victory as they continue to build confidence this season.
